Slayer Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary Shows Announced

Slayer Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary

Slayer is marking 40 years of Reign in Blood with a small run of headlining shows in 2026, performing the 1986 thrash landmark front to back.

The band confirmed two initial dates — September 4 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, and November 13 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, their first Los Angeles-area show in seven years. After the November 13 date sold out during the Citi and artist presales, TicketNews added a second Kia Forum night for November 14.

The Minnesota show features support from Down, Suicidal Tendencies, and Hatebreed. Both Los Angeles dates will be opened by Cannibal Corpse, Cavalera (Max and Iggor performing Sepultura’s Chaos A.D. in full), and Crowbar.

Released in October 1986 on Def Jam, Reign in Blood was Slayer’s first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Ten tracks — including “Angel of Death,” “Postmortem,” and “Raining Blood” — packed into just under 29 minutes that reshaped thrash metal. The album reached No. 94 on the Billboard 200, was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1992, and remains a cornerstone of the genre.
