Violet Grohl solo concert debut marked a major milestone over the weekend, with the singer performing her first official live show on Saturday in honor of Record Store Day.

Dave Grohl’s daughter took the stage at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach, California, delivering a preview of tracks from her forthcoming debut solo album, Be Sweet to Me.

“We just know that this event will become one of those brags like, ‘I was there when Violet Grohl played her first live show…,'” Fingerprints Music shared in an Instagram post celebrating the intimate performance.

Violet had some notable support in the crowd, too. The Foo Fighters Instagram account shared a photo of Dave hanging outside the record store with legendary DJ and “Weird Al” Yankovic mentor Dr. Demento, suggesting her dad was on hand to witness the debut.

Be Sweet to Me arrives May 29. Violet’s touring schedule is also heating up, with upcoming festival appearances at Reading & Leeds in the U.K. and Shaky Knees in Atlanta already on the books.

Her father has a busy stretch ahead as well. Dave is preparing to drop a new Foo Fighters album, Your Favorite Toy, this Friday. The band has a one-off gig lined up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 28, followed by headlining slots at Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa in May. A full North American stadium tour is set to launch in August.
